From the West to the East: Turning Corporate Campuses Into a Celebration

From Pennsylvania to North Carolina to Arizona, Food Fleet transformed Vanguard’s campuses into a western-themed carnival experience complete with live music, cowgirls on stilts, caricature artists, and air-conditioned tents. Behind the scenes, our team executed precise vendor coordination, rapid truck load-ins, and high-volume service with seamless hospitality at every step.

For Food Fleet, this was more than an event – it was an opportunity to showcase how agility, creativity, and community connection can turn a large-scale corporate celebration into an unforgettable, people-centered experience.

The Ask: A Celebration Like No Other

For Vanguard’s 50th anniversary, their team set out to thank employees across three campuses with a large-scale, immersive celebration. The scope required a food program that could operate seamlessly across multiple regions, meet strict security and operational requirements, and support dozens of local small businesses without disrupting the flow of the day.

From Cowboy Hats to Carolina Skies

Food Fleet helped turned Vanguard’s flagship campus into a western wonderland.

Thirty-three vendors – including eleven newly onboarded just for the event – filled the air with the aromas of barbecue, tacos, and popcorn. Nearly 10,000 employees gathered under cowboy hats and wooden rafters, enjoying ice-cold drinks from barrel coolers and live music that set the tone for the day. Almost every vendor sold out.

Charlotte, North Carolina

Under sunny Carolina skies, eleven local vendors dished out fresh donuts, spicy gobi bites, and global street food to 1,800 attendees. Roving mimes, caricature artists, and musicians turned lunchtime into a lively food festival – a true celebration of flavor and community.

Scottsdale, Arizona

In the desert, Food Fleet reimagined the campus as “Vanguard Ranch.” New partners SuperFarm Super Truck and Udder Delights joined the lineup, serving carne asada tacos, brisket, falafel gyros, fried rice, and locally churned ice cream. Employees cooled off with aguas frescas, hand fans, and plenty of shade – the perfect recipe for a western day in the sun.

Across all three states, Food Fleet partners served nearly 50,000 meals, created lasting memories, and showcased the power of local culinary collaboration.

Coordinating 55 food vendors across three states required both precision and heart. Food Fleet’s operations team managed:
