The Story

Diva Dawg puts a New Orleans spin on comfort food with bold flavors, big personality, and a signature style all its own. Founded by New Orleans native Ericka Michelle Lassair, also known as Chef Diva, the brand first launched on Magazine Street in 2012 before hitting the road as a food truck two years later. A graduate of Southern University and Delgado’s Culinary Arts School, Ericka has built Diva Dawg into a standout name in the city’s food scene, earning recognition from outlets including BET, Eater New Orleans, Condé Nast Traveler, Essence, and Vogue. 

At the heart of the menu is the original Diva Dawg, a homemade hot dog served on a sweet and savory bun with Creole-inspired toppings. From the Red Bean Chili Dawg topped with fried chicken to crawfish étouffée fries, crabmeat grill cheese, and praline candy shakes, every dish brings an extra Cajun flair. Backed by years of accolades, media appearances, and a deep connection to her hometown, Chef Diva continues to serve food that is unmistakably New Orleans and entirely her own.
