The Story
Hassan Musselmani’s intuition led him into the kitchen at an early age where a passion for bold flavors was born. Having worked in the culinary world since age thirteen, Hassan’s enduring and multi-faceted experience has led to his establishment as a culinary figurehead in the Detroit area. In 2016, after his appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s popular reality cooking show, “Hell’s Kitchen,” Hassan launched his food truck, The Drunken Rooster.
The Drunken Rooster specializes in Middle Eastern inspired tacos. The fusion menu boasts Pork Shawarma tacos with salsa verde, queso fresco, and pickled curry carrots. For the vegetarians, the Lentil tacos, the Mexican street corn, and the Zaatar fries are fabulous options.
It turns out Chef Hasssan was made for reality television. One year after opening the food truck, he appeared on Chopped, the Food Network show where chefs compete and turn baskets of mystery ingredients into a three-course meal.
Hassan appreciates the face-to-face interaction with diners that the food truck provides and says it is rewarding compared to service in restaurants. And while he is not executing the daily service at the truck, he is at all the events. Get The Drunken Rooster booked for your events.
